I just want to take a moment to comment on my experience Beta testing Windows 7. I have only had the OS on my computer for about a week and keep in mind, there are no drivers available for my hardware so things like my printer have not been used yet with the new OS. My experience with its new "hardware support" is limited for this reason.
With that said, Windows 7 has completly elminated my desire to purchase a mac. My opinion of Windows 7 is, "Borrowed from Mac, Innovated by Apple." The user interface is nearly seemles; however, you can still perform all of the complicated sourcing you can with old Windows.
The amount of performance increase I have seen over Vista is unreal. My computer is running more efficiently than it did in the days of XP professional. Currently, I'm updating my iphone, downloading safari updates, running outlook, running 5 panes of Mozilla, and running blogger buddy and I don't notice a difference from running 1 program. Keep in mind, this is on a Thinkpad T-60 bought in early 2006. Given the T-60 is a good machine, excellent machine at that, it has never run this smoothly.
Not relevant to my usual posts, but I had to comment.
Good job Microsoft, your starting to get it.
